Leeds United have now registered their interest in signing a Manchester United youngster, who INEOS are reportedly ready to sell.
Leeds make enquiry to sign Strand Larsen
Having already welcomed Facundo Buonanotte, Leeds have already returned to the transfer market in the hope of adding another Premier League rival.
This time, it’s Jorgen Strand Larsen who takes the focus. According to reports, Leeds have launched an enquiry to sign the Wolverhampton Wanderers forward, who would be their record signing at £40m.
It would certainly be a statement move from those at Elland Road. Strand Larsen netted 14 goals in his debut season in the Premier League last time out, but has since struggled to replicate that in a Wolves side who look destined for relegation.
If it’s not this month, then the forward will be one to watch in the summer if Wolves drop down to the Championship. It’s then that Leeds, if they avoid the drop, could land a bargain deal.
As things stand, Daniel Farke’s side sit as many as eight points clear of the bottom three and could enjoy an 11-point buffer with victory over Fulham this weekend. It has simply been a sensational couple of months from all involved at the Yorkshire club.
The chance to join the club should be an attractive prospect in 2026 and that’s already been proved by Buonanotte. After deciding against joining the Whites in the summer, he was quick to put pen to paper this month.
Now, a Manchester United gem could make a similar decision to help Leeds get one over on their rivals. According to Pete O’Rourke of Football Insider, Leeds have made contact to sign Edward Ibrovic-Fletcher from Man United, registering their interest.

INEOS are reportedly ready to sell the 17-year-old talent in another blow for Man United’s academy. But their trash could quickly become a hidden gem for Leeds.
Ibrovic-Fletcher made seven appearances for Darren Fletcher’s U18s side before the former Man United midfielder took up the role as caretaker manager for the first-team and then joined Michael Carrick’s coaching staff.
Fletcher’s departure comes at a frustrating time for the versatile forward, who has not featured for the U18s in their last five league games, including against Leeds.

For all parties, an exit seems likely to be the right decision. Whilst there could be more opportunities for young players under Carrick than there were under Ruben Amorim, there’s no guarantee that those academy graduates will thrive amid the toxic chaos of modern-day Man United.

That’s where Leeds could come in. As Archie Gray proved during his time at the club, there is a pathway to the first-team.
